Our Story

Other than the creative play on words, The 6461 Exchange has a deeper meaning. I grew up in California on the same street as my grandparents. I could literally walk down to their house and bug them as much as I wanted. My grandpa was an architect and had converted his garage into a home office. I would walk down and bug him far more than he probably wanted. He was a very meticulous and detail oriented person. But, he would often take the time to show me what he was working on and explain the details of his work while I sat there probably asking him "why" way too many times. He worked far before all of the modern computer programs and technology, so he drew all of his plans by hand. He was skilled at what he did, but more importantly, he took the time to share his passion with me.

In 2022 my grandpa passed away, and I wanted to find a way to properly carry on his legacy and honor him. As an architect, his license number was 6461, so I decided to take that number and use it as the center of this company. It sits at the center of the logo to make sure he is always remembered. I have spoken about him and shared stories of him with my children over the years, and now I have that same opportunity to share with everyone. Built on Experience

My name is Colin, and I've spent the past 12 years working on the project management side of the construction and development industry, helping bring complex projects from plans to reality.

Throughout my career, I've worked alongside general contractors, owners, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. My experience has given me a firsthand understanding of what it takes to move a project forward, from budgeting and procurement to contract administration, document control, coordination, and project execution.

So, why The 6461 Exchange?

It is built around a simple idea: better connections and better information create better opportunities.

I want to create a place where developers, investors, builders, and other industry professionals can connect, share knowledge, explore opportunities, and learn from one another.

My goal is to bring together practical construction experience and a broader perspective on construction, real estate and development. Whether that means helping an owner navigate a construction project, sharing lessons from experienced industry professionals, or creating opportunities for people to connect around future projects, I believe there is value in making this industry more accessible and collaborative.

These ideas are what led me to create The 6461 Exchange.
